LORAC Unzipped Gold Palette Review & Tutorial!

Hi Lovelies! If you saw my last Ulta haul video then you saw how excited I was about the new Lorac Unzipped Gold Palette! If you didn't see it, you can see it HERE. I adore the original unzipped palette, so when I saw that they had a new gold version I was jumping off of the walls! I love anything gold when it comes to makeup....and life. I thought I'd show you guys some swatches and also a little tutorial using the palette. Overall, I give this palette a 9/10. The only reason that it doesn't get a perfect score is because the matte shades are not super pigmented, although they are buildable. I hope you guys enjoy and I'll see you guys soon!

How To: Contour & Highlight for Beginners | Kim Kardashian

Hi Lovelies and welcome back! When I think of a perfect sculpted contour and highlight my mind gravitates towards one celebrity and that is none other than Kim Kardashian. Kim is the epitome of a perfect contour and is a contour icon within the beauty community. When I first started learning how to contour and highlight, I was a lost soul. I could not do it to save my life. If there was a contour Olympics, I definitely would not have placed. I would always end up looking like I just got beat up and someone smeared mud all over my face...literally. It took countless YouTube videos and tutorials to finally learn the art of the contour, and I am by no means a master. As with any kind of makeup, you have good days and bad days. When I started watching videos done by beauty gurus I realized that not many had a tutorial for beginners that was step by step. I mean, not everyone who wants to learn how to contour is going to know what the point of contouring actually is and I believe that knowing the why of something, will make you much more successful in achieving the perfect results. So I figured I would take my skills and make a little video showing you how I get a sculpted face, and also why I am doing those things. Let me know what you think and what your tips and tricks are for achieving that perfect contour! I hope you guys enjoy and I will talk to you soon!

All Drugstore Products Makeup Tutorial - Beauty On A Budget

Hi Lovelies! Welcome back! Let me just start off my saying that I love me some Sephora....all the time. But sometimes a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do and nobody's got time for $50 dollar foundation! That's why I love the drugstore. Not only can you find AMAZING products for cheap, but they're actually of quality and majority of the time the products are buy one, get one. I thought I would throw together a simple tutorial doing a look for you that uses solely drugstore products. I wanted to use my beauty blender, really bad. Although, I think when you're in a rush you don't have time to go through all of that so sometimes, your hands are you best tools. I hope you guys enjoy and I'll see you soon!

The Perfect Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial!

Hi lovelies! Welcome back! I know that when I first started using makeup I remember watching girls on youtube create these amazing smokey eyes and I could never figure out how! With a lot of practice  and countless hours of determination I think I have finally mastered my perfect smokey eye. The key I have learned is to blend, blend, blend, and when you think you're done, blend again. Having a good blending brush is key. Also having good eyeshadows to blend out is important. I personally have just found my new favorite eyeshadows and they are Morphe and Makeup Geek. Both are super pigmented, super blendable, and super smooth. Morphe at ($2) and Makeup Geek at ($6) a piece are super affordable, and you get such bang for your buck. You can buy them individually and stick them in a Z Palette. I hope you enjoy and I'll talk to you guys soon!

Soft and Romantic Valentines Day Tutorial!

Hi Lovelies! I was walking through Target yesterday guilty pleasure and I came across the Valentines Day isle...after 30 2 minutes of perusing around and then making my way over to the makeup section as I so often do I found myself inspired to do two different kinds of makeup tutorials for you guys! The first one is a more soft romantic makeup look that is neutral with a pop of shimmer. Also, I incorporated a nude lip and a cherry red lip if you wanted to bump it up a notch. Keep an eye out in the next few days for the second look which will be a sultry, more sexy tutorial. I hope you guys enjoy! Please let me know what you would like to see next and any tips and tricks you may have for Valentines Day!

Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes First Impression/Review!

Hi Lovelies! First off I want to say welcome to the first of many reviews and tutorials on my blog! I am ecstatic to be bringing you my tips and tricks I have acquired through my passion for makeup and all things beauty. There has been so much hype regarding this Younique Moonstruck mascara. According to Younique [The] 3D Fiber Lashes set is an eyelash enhancing duo that provides a 300% percent increase in the thickness and volume to your lashes while still looking completely real and natural. 300 percent?! Anything that is promising me to make my scarce lashes 300 percent more voluminous.. I am ALL in. I placed an order and anxiously awaited it's arrival. When I saw the little black box in my mailbox I could not wait to rip off the tape and take it out (before I made it up the driveway)...sorry neighbors. I was pleasantly surprised by the packaging.. a sleek black leather case shaped like an eyeglass holder with two matte black tubes with (presumably mascara) inside.

Case/Holder
Transplanting Gel (.23 FL OZ)/Natural Fibers (.02 OZ)

The instructions are as follows:
1. Apply a thin coat of your favorite regular mascara on both sets of lashes. Let dry.
2. Then apply an even coat of transplanting gel on lashes.
3. Immediately, before gel has time to dry, apply fibers onto lashes.
4. Lastly, seal the fibers with another coat of transplanting gel.

Naked Eye

I figured that this couldn't be too hard, and I'd just jump right in and bring you all along with me! First, I applied the Mac Extended Play Gigablack Lash mascara. I chose this mascara because it dries quickly, I love the precise little wand, and I can coat every lash pretty quickly. I did not curl my lashes as I wanted to see the full potential of this mascara on straight as a board, lashes.

Mac Gigablack Lash Mascara

Next, I put a thin layer of the transplanting gel on top of the mascara I just coated on. They weren't kidding when they called this stuff a "gel". It has the consistency of a hair gel product or a gel moisturizer, except it's black. When I put on the first layer (only on one eye), I went in pretty scarcely with it and immediately grabbed the fiber wand and started applying it over top.

Fiber Wand

I found that the fibers were very fluffy and not very flaky..if you know what I mean. They kind of reminded me of little tiny feathers. The first thing I noticed was when I applied the fibers, some fell down on my cheeks and also got in my eye. It didn't seem as if the fibers were sticking to my lashes as they were supposed to, instead they were flying everywhere. I figured perhaps I didn't use enough of the transplanting gel, so I took my handy makeup wipe and wiped off the gel, the mascara, and my now fibrous cheeks and decided to try again except this time be a little more heavy handed with the gel. IT WORKED! I did one eye at a time, and this was the result after the first coat:

One Coat

I was pretty impressed, I felt as if the duo gave my lashes a lot of volume at the base of my lash line and a pretty substantial amount of length. In the instructions it did not say anything about doing a second coat, but it also didn't say anything about not doing a second coat. So I applied the gel and the the fibers (focusing more on the ends of my lashes and I also coated the top of them, too).

Two Coats

Well, needless to say I was officially impressed. The second coat overall gave my lashes what they wanted...some VAVAVOOM! I found that focusing the fibers on the end of my lashes and on the tops gave me a lot of length while not clumping them together completely. Although, this mascara does not give you those fluttery fluffy lashes if that's what you're looking for. It gives you more of a spidery look, if that's what you're looking for. I am sure that if you used a spooly brush and really combed through them after every step you could get more of that flutter lash effect. I find that this mascara is a good fake lash substitute if you do not like applying falsies, but I would still reach for my velour lashes if I had the option. I did wear this mascara throughout the day, and it did not flake or budge all night. A simple makeup remover was sufficient in taking it off, but it wasn't exactly easy. Overall, I like this mascara and it will definitely be staying in my collection. A good tip also is you can find this mascara on Amazon or Ebay for a lot cheaper than what the distributors sell it for.

PROS
Voluminous
Dries quickly
Stays all day
False lash substitute
Buildable
Lengthening

CONS
Time consuming
Fiber fallout
Removal
$$$
